SO SWEET

It was about time, right? >= \ lol. I finally have found some time between card making and packing (yes, I'm leaving on Thursday on yet another trip) to take a picture of one of my recent creations.

I recently bought a bunch of Anya stamps from the Greeting Farm and I've been spending a lot of time stamping and colouring them. I finally took one of the coloured images and created a card with it. This Anya digital stamp isn't new to the store, but it's one I recently purchased. She is Cupcake Anya. Isn't she a darling?

Originally I made the heart for a wedding card I was making, but it didn't quite work out. So I used it in this card instead. I coloured Anya to match the colours I used in the heart. The swirls on the heart were stamped and heat embossed. The dash lines (flux stitching) was draw on with gel pens.

The heart lays flat on the card and Anya is popped up with a bit of foam adhesives.

"SO SWEET" was stamped on 40lb vellum and then heat embossed. The talk bubble stamp came from the the Simon Says Die & Stamps Set - Loving Words Talk Bubbles. And the "SO SWEET" saying came from the Simon Says Clear Stamps - Tilted Banner Sayings.

I left the inside of the card blank so it can be used for any occasion when you want to say "SO SWEET" to someone. = )

It's Been Far Too Long!

Hi everyone, so sorry it's been so long since I last posted. I was away for most of April to go to Japan and then on a long cruise with my parents. I tell ya... 18 day cruises, in the middle of April, on Holland American, are meant for retired grandmas and grandpas and not people of my age. But going to Kobe and Osaka prior to the cruise was definitely wonderful! Not to mention the three Japanese ports we went to as well. Eating crab in Kushiro, Hokkaido was to die for!! I've had crab in Hokkaido before and that was delicious. But this time, Dad took us to a local fish market (by the way, Japan has the CLEANEST fish markets in the entire world!) and we ate fresh crab and sashimi. OMG, I can still recall the amazing flavors of the fresh seafood! And all the locals are amazingly kind and friendly! Boy, I can go on for days talking about how wonderful Japan is and how much I love it, but instead I'll share a few pictures.

Anyway, since I got back I've been busy working on my cards. However, I cannot share them with you yet. Because the recipients of these cards might visit my blog and see their cards before they receive them. So I'll have to hold off the card sharing for a tad longer. But I promise that I will post some shortly!

Thanks for visiting,
Cheryl ~
