My Craft Room

I love seeing other people's amazing craft rooms and I've always dreamed of having my own. Thanks to my awesome hubby, I have my craft room now! It's not completely done yet, I still have a bunch of things to hang up, but most of the things are set in place. I can't wait to start using this space for some creative work! All of my furniture came from Ikea, except for my chair, I got that at Costco.

 My very large desk.

This bookshelf fell on me while I was helping my hubby put it up. It was painful, but it looks so nice now that it's up!

I have some bookshelves behind my desk. That's where I store all of my stamps, paper, Cuttlebug, Cricut, and etc.

I have a plastic storage system beside my bookshelf. The top drawer is full of my snacks and munchies and the bottom two are for my blank cards and envelopes.

I have some shelves to the left of my desk.

This is where I take all of my pictures. It looks professional and all, but I have no clue what I'm doing half the time. I can just imagine how disappointed my photography professors are. Hahaha =P

A closer look at my desk. I have to protect all the surfaces because I'm really clumsy and always spilling things, especially strong chemicals (nail polish remover, Goof Off) that will damage my desk.

This is the other side of my desk. In the corner is my iPad so I can watch videos online while I work. My hubby will set up an actual TV later. (He tried to put a 40" there, *facepalm* but it was obviously too big for my room. I didn't want to go blind so I got him to take it away.) Underneath is my embossing heat gun, it's there because the outlet is there. You've probably noticed my tissue, toilet paper, and paper towel... yes I use a lot of those while I'm crafting. =P On the far right is my ribbon rack/holder, which I really hate. The quality is awful and it's not practical at all. In front of the ribbon rack/holder is where I put my paper cutter.

Thanks again to my wonderful hubby who bought me everything and then put all the furniture together. I love my room SO MUCH!!

Merry Christmas

I know it's January already, but I want to share these Christmas cards I made back in December.

You are in my heart and thoughts

I made this card for a friend, but I didn't like how it turned out so I never gave it to her and made her a different card instead.

Greetings 7A & 7B

My students from last year wrote me letters and sent me cards. So in return I made this card to thank them.

3 in 1 Card

I made this card for my good friend. I combined three cards into one, like a little book. And each card opens differently. It took me three days to complete this card and I'm quite proud of what I did. ^^;

Treat yourself... you deserve it!

Here is a card I made for my sister. It's one of my favorites.

How many fingers are you?

Welcome to my blog. I'm Cheryl and I hope to use this blog to "Cher" the "Ryl" me with everyone. = )

I recently enrolled in an online card making course called Clean & Simple Card Making 2. We had lesson 1 today and I've already learned a bunch of new techniques. Here's the card I made for today's homework.

The card didn't turn out as nice as I hoped, but I will continue to work on my techniques.
