Just finished making a second card for my class's Pre-Class Challenge 2. For this card we have to make a card based on this sketch.
I just love combining pink and grey colours, they go so nicely together.
For the flowers I used Mama Elephant's Lovely Mums stamp set. I stamped the flowers on watercolour paper and then painted them with Tim Holtz's Distress Ink Refills. Then I fussy cut them out and placed them onto the card with foam adhesives. I hand stitched the scallop boarder, the boarder around the sentiment, and the little heart.
I used ColorBox chalk inks to stamp the sentiment. I first stamped it in Gray Whale and then in Charcoal hoping it would create a shadow effect. Unfortunately I lined up the two images too well and lost the "shadowing". Oh well, better luck next time, I guess. =P
Thanks for visiting,

BEAUTIFUL JOB CHERYL!!!!!!!!! :) (Found you over at Stamp Camp 2!) :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, fellow classmate! =)
DeleteVery pretty card! Great job with the stitching; can you believe you hit the exact spot you were trying to shadow, instead? Wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Sharon! I know, the one time I want the stamping to be offset I manage to line them up. Maybe that's how I should do it from now on. =P
